Their recent move to incorporate our MICA Legionella system for advanced microbiology testing serves as a testament to this commitment.

Here’s what Tricia Singh, the Laboratory Manager (Environmental Microbiology) at CARIRI, had to say about their experience with our MICA Legionella system:

“The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) is expanding its range of microbiology testing capabilities with the introduction of MICA Legionella.

In the past, development of the culturable method proved challenging, time consuming and costly.

Discovering Diamidex’s MICA Legionella system was timely, as it promises rapid and reliable results at a lower investment cost.

CARIRI is proud to collaborate with Diamidex to introduce this technology to the Caribbean and Latin America. Mr Sam Dukhan of Diamidex conducted training for the staff of CARIRI’s Environmental Microbiology Laboratory on the MICA Legionella system on June 20th and 22nd, 2023. Overall the procedure is simple to follow with helpful prompts and demo videos built in the system to guide the process. One of the most beneficial features of the system is the automatically generated traceability report which allows for easy monitoring of QA/QC. The ability to obtain results within 48 hours, without the need for follow-up confirmatory tests, allows for early detection and rapid diagnosis of Legionella events.”
